Hedingham Castle

Julie visits Hedingham Castle in East Anglia. The 900-year-old Norman Castle keep dominates the surrounding landscape. Hedingham is home to the Lindsay family. Julie takes a tour of the historic keep – where Kings and Queens have stayed – and where Julie herself spends the night! The following morning, Julie explores the beautiful Georigan Mansion where it’s revealed that that an ancestor, the 17th Earl of Oxford may have been William Shakespeare himself! This spectacular visit is topped off with a visit to a nearby historic weaving company – Gainsborough – where beautiful silk was sourced to recreate the Georgian dining room at Hedingham.
